Just a few days after the first picture of the new
Porsche Cayenne SUV made its appearance and just weeks after the amazing Carrera GT was unveiled, insider sources from Porsche report that the company is preparing a new
uprated version of the 911 Turbo, to be called 911 Turbo S. (remember the 3.2lt
Porsche Boxster S that was unveiled a few months ago?)
The 911 Turbo S is not an official project yet, but we are in the position to reveal that it will see production soon. Of course it is based on
the 4wd Turbo 911 but a new engine management system raises the output to 460hp - a figure that should bring the car in the 200mph supercar league. Uprated suspension spring and damper settings
and ceramic brakes should make the car more than able to handle the increased power. On the styling department, the Turbo S is rumored to have a fixed huge rear spoiler instead of the
normal Turbo spoiler that rises at speed. The picture shown here is a normal Turbo - we will bring you the first pics of the Turbo S as they come out!
All in all, we can't stress enough how much Porsche has (positively) surprised us with its latest projects...Keep it coming guys!
So what will the new Turbo S mean for the Porsche range? Will it make a difference to the 911 Turbo vs 360 Modena
controversy? What do you think? Click here and talk about all these and more in our Messageboard! |
