2015 Frankfurt Motor Show: 2016 Maserati Ghibli and Quattroporte

The updated Ghibli and Quattroporte have been unveiled by Maserati recently during the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show.

Maserati has officially pulled the wraps off the Ghibli and Quattroporte, in the 2016 model year, during the German automotive event, and the two vehicles are currently on display as we speak. According to the car manufacturer, the two models are now getting new Euro 6 petrol engines under their hoods, with the start / stop technology, which are said to be 12 percent more fuel-efficient than their predecessors, despite the performance figures remaining the same.

“In a year of consolidation and in the run-up to the launch of the Levante SUV scheduled for 2016, Maserati lines up its complete Model Year 16 (MY16) product range for the first time in Europe. With the MY16 range, Maserati upgrades all current engines to the Euro 6 standard and adds exclusive new contents for the Ghibli and Quattroporte sedans”, says Maserati in the press release.

The 2016 Maserati Ghibli and Quattroporte have also received updated diesel units as well, which have been equipped with the AdBlue technology. Besides tweaking the engine lineup, the Italian based brand has added a variety of options for the two cars, which include the Rear Cross Path, Blind Spot Alert, power-operated trunk which can be opened or closed by moving your foot underneath the rear bumper with the key in your pocket, 10-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, Bowers & Wilkins improved premium audio system, Siri compatibility and so on.
