A class action has been filed in the Federal Court of Australia over Ford’s PowerShift transmission on behalf of Ford Fiesta, Focus and EcoSport owners.

Now that Nissan has confirmed it will buy a controlling stake in Mitsubishi Motors Corporation, the next-generation Nissan Navara and Mitsubishi Triton will likely share the same platform.

The 2017 Jaguar F-Type facelift was spied near the Nurburgring, and there’s a four-cylinder option on the way. Also spotted this week was the new Porsche 911 GTS Targa, Kia GT Sports Sedan, Range Rover Sport prototype and Audi RS5 coupe.

More than 40,000 Nissan Tiida‘s have been recalled thanks to the international Takata airbag saga.

In other recalls, more than 5000 examples of the Hyundai Elantra have an airbag issue (unrelated to the Takata recall), a number of Volkswagen Touareg vehicles need a side airbag fix, Mitsubishi is fixing child seat anchor points on six 2014 Challengers and a fault with rear seat mounting bolts forced Renault to recall a small number of Kangoo and Trafic vans.

Audi revealed it’s developing software that will make self-driving cars behave in a more ‘human-like’ fashion.
