A mid-cycle facelift has been applied to the Toyota Crown recently as the model is getting ready for its future customers. The 2016 Toyota Crown has been officially unveiled. It is coming with the mesh pattern for the front grille, the full LED headlights, the larger taillights which have been modified as well, the Prussia theme for the turbo models, the agate laminate decorative paneling and several other details on the Athlete version. Next in the lineup we will find the Crown Royal, which is coming with an upgraded front bumper, a larger front grille, more chrome around the fog lights, a lattice patterned panel based on the detailed wood-grain finish and the brown accents on the new black theme. Toyota is offering the updated Crown in the Majesta trim as well. This is bringing the reinforced rigidity of body junctions, the optimized front and rear suspension system, the self-restoring clear coat, the ITS Connect and others. All versions of the updated Crown are said to come with the improvements for the Adaptive Variable Suspension System and Electric Power Steering, along with the retuned shock absorbers and bushings. Under the hood, the Athlete is carrying a 2.0 liter turbocharged gasoline burner, connected to an 8-speed automatic transmission. We are not sure at this point on the performance or power figures but chances are these are similar to the ones on the recent Lexus models, which are coming with 245 HP (180 kW) and 350 Nm (258 lb-ft) of torque.
