Another example of the Ferrari 458 Spider has been crashed, this time in South Africa. After we have told you about the 458 Speciale which has been significantly damaged after being involved in an unfortunate incident in South Africa, time has come to talk about yet another supercar born in Maranello, which has been crashed in the same country. The model in question is a gorgeously red finished Ferrari 458 Spider which will need a complete makeover in order to return to its former glory. According to the guys from Wrecked Exotics, the driver of this hot ride was driving under the influence and trying to show off. He eventually lost control of the wheel and ended up crashing the supercar through a gate and into a tree. The good news is that he managed to get away unhurt from the scene, but the bad news is that the same cannot be said on his ride, or his ego, after both have been “affected”. As a small reminder, Ferrari has introduced the 458 back in 2009 and this has stayed into production since 2015, when it was replaced by the 488. The supercar came in two body styles, coupe and roadster, both of them getting a rear mid-engine and rear-wheel drive layout. The 458 Spider was the convertible version and this was using a 4.5 liter naturally aspirated V8 engine, a soft roof which can be opened in 14 seconds and a performance similar to the one of the coupe. The 458 Spider was shown at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show.
