The fastest F-Type comes to the Geneva Auto Show with some impressive figures: 575 PS, top speed of 200 mph and a 3.5 seconds sprint from 0 to 60 mph.

The SVR version of the F-Type has just made its global debut at the Geneva Motor Show and will go on sale in summer 2016. Capable of 200 mph, the new high performance F-Type is the first Jaguar SVR and is developed to exploit the two-seat aluminium sports car’s full potential. The sports car, which can be had in both coupe and cabriolet form, has enlarged air intakes in the front bumper together with revised charge air coolers and redesigned bonnet vents to cope with the extra performance boost. The F-Type SVR features the latest evolution of Jaguar’s 5.0-litre supercharged V8 that promises to deliver some thrilling feelings behind the wheel. Changes to the engine’s calibration brings the power and torque ratings to 575 PS and 700 Nm, pushing the model from 0-60mph in just 3.5 seconds. The maximum speed of the Coupe is 200 mph, while the Convertible version has to stop at 195 mph.

The chassis has been tweaked, with new adaptive dampers and anti-roll bars added and stiffer rear knuckles fitted. Fitted as standard with Jaguar’s Super Performance braking system featuring large 380mm and 376mm front and rear brake discs, the F-Type SVR can be specified with Jaguar’s Carbon Ceramic Matrix braking system, for extra stopping power. Thanks to some weight saving tricks, the model is 25kg lighter as standard than the AWD F-Type R – and 50kg lighter with options including the ceramic brakes and carbon fibre roof, thus bringing great benefits in terms of handling. The orders are opened, with the SVR coupe starting from 110,000 pounds and the convertible from 115,485 pounds.
