The premium Japanese automaker has revealed the high-performance Q50 Red Sport 400 will retail for $47,950 and has already entered US dealerships.

The model is being set apart from regular versions via the more dynamic treatment of the front end, the addition of a custom exhaust system and bespoke 19-inch aluminum wheels with summer performance run-flat tires. The Q50 Red Sport 400 also rounds off the exterior changes by deploying LED headlights and a glass moonroof. The interior features leather sport seats, alloy pedals, and an Infiniti InTouch infotainment system, a 14-speaker Bose audio system, “Kacchu” finish aluminum trim, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel packing solid magnesium paddle shifters. Upscale buyers can also look forward to the dual-zone automatic climate control system, Infiniti-themed sill plates or the passive entry system with a push button ignition.

Under the hood resides a biturbo 3.0-liter V6 engine delivering 400 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque, linked to a seven-speed automatic transmission which can be treated to an optional four-wheel drive system for another $2,000. In order to live up to its performance orientation, the Q50 Red Sport 400 also adds a high-performance braking system and an upgraded electronic power steering system. The goodies are rounded off with the sport-oriented Digital Dynamic Suspension which has electronically adjustable shock absorbers.
