This year marks the 5th anniversary of Ignition, and host Jonny Lieberman is celebrating in a big, Italian way. Featured in this special episode is the second-quickest car Motor Trend has ever tested — the 2016 Lamborghini Aventador SV.

SV stands for Super Veloce (Italian for super fast) and Lieberman explains the important differences between it and the normal Aventador. For starters, the 6.5-liter V-12 makes more power at 740 hp (watch the video for the requisite tunnel sound test). It’s also 110 pounds lighter thanks to fixed carbon fiber aerodynamic bits like the rear spoiler and side air intake (normal Aventador has heavier active aero).

Most importantly, however, is the addition of magnetorheological dampers, which make huge improvements to the Aventador’s handling. Lieberman explores the Aventador SV’s handling capabilities on canyon roads and says it handles like a “giant WRX” thanks to the “incredible” magnetic shocks.

Finally, Lieberman heads to Big Willow for a few laps before handing over the big Lambo to Randy Pobst, who puts down a quick lap that places the Aventador SV high on the leader board. But is it enough to bump the Porsche 918 Spyder from its spot on the top of the list? Watch the video below to find out.
