The Las Vegas strip is choke full of customized and tuned one-offs packing the SEMA launch lineup but as always the most hyped models come from the regular automakers. One great example why they get the spotlight are the latest concepts coming from Fiat Chrysler Automobile’s Fiat US unit, which has officially unveiled the 500X Chicane and 500X Mobe prototypes. The first model in question, the 500X Chicane has a self-entitled street-tuner vibe thanks to the Competition Blue paint shade and side stripes complementing the gloss black roof. It has also been equipped with a more dynamic styled front end, the ride height has been dropped and sits on 20-inch alloy wheels with a two-tone finish. Inside the tuned concept the FCA designers have once more fitted Katzkin leather seats with blue customization and some “X” embroidery to make sure everyone remembers the designation. We also noticed the cargo management system, bright pedal kit, satin black sill plates and embossed floor mats. Under the hood resides the 2.4-liter Tigershark MultiAir2 petrol breather that got treated to a cat-back exhaust system form some extra grunt. On the other hand the 500X Mobe has taken its name from a kite-surfing trick and comes with an Ivory Pearl paint job that also boasts Matte Bronze accents and blue side stripes. We also saw a roof rack and two-tone 18-inch alloy wheels with Mopar blue touches. The interior features two-tone leather seats, white trim and a blue kite surfer decal on the dashboard to remind us of the model’s destination and among other goodies we also saw Matte Bronze door sill plates, all-weather floor mats or a black molded cargo tray. The same engine can be found on the Chicane that also got the cat-back exhaust system.
