The SEMA is in full swing in Las Vegas now and South Korean automaker Kia has decided to join the party with its purposely built PacWest Adventure Sorento concept. The one-off model has been designed and built by LGE-CTS Motorsports, with the sport utility vehicle adding an electric/deep forest green exterior hue made via the use of a multi-layer painting process that also employs pearls and creates an “ever-changing chameleon effect.” We can also note the switch to a tubular front bumper, the addition of LED auxiliary lights and some matte black accents for good measure. We can also highlight the GrillCraft mesh grille, the roof rack, the extended fender flares and 17-inch BMF beadlock-style wheels with Nitto Trail Grappler M/T tires. The interior has also been touched by two-tone leather and cloth seats with matching tire-tread embroidery. There’s also a green hue trim, rugged floor mats and an Alpine Mobile Media entertainment system commanded via an eight-inch display. Since Adventure is the concept’s middle name, tackling rough terrain of the Pacific Northwest is nothing for the model which has an off-road suspension using Eibach springs and Fox Racing 2.0 coilover shocks that lend an additional ground clearance of six inches. The one-off also has skid plates, rocker bars and a MileMarker PE4500ES winch for good measure. The 3.3-liter V6 engine looks untouched save for the snorkel intake system.
