Renault is paying homage to Le Corbusier architect, designer and painter with a brand new concept car, which is wearing his name. The new Renault Coupe Corbusier Concept has been created in order to investigate the topic of “French cultural objects” and it’s focusing on the golden age of cars, the 1930s, when futuristic and traditional styling cues were mixing together just beautifully. You can notice its striking design, with that massive hood, the slender headlights with the LED technology, the different front grille which has nothing in common with other Renault vehicles and the muscular profile. The futuristic finishes are being continued to the rear end as well where we can see the taillights, with the same LED technology, stretching from one end of the car to the other, being separated by a small gap. The rear wheel arches are extremely wide and we’re not noticing any exhaust system which may suggest that the study is purely electric and chances are this is true considering that Renault hasn’t announced any details on it for the moment. It can also lack a powertrain and focus on design, so anything is possible at the moment. Photos of the interior haven’t been released either at this point. The one-off car is currently on display at the Villa Savoye in Poissy, France.
