The facelifted QX60 crossover has been revealed online by the premium Japanese automaker and the model will have its public premiere in January during the NAIAS event. Set for a stage debut during the North American International Auto Show in Detroit in January, the refreshed large crossover packs a decidedly familiar styling language but comes with a modified front fascia that has an updated grille and newly styled bi-xenon headlights with integrated LED daytime running lights. We also noticed the all new LED fog lights, the addition of even more chrome trim and the shark fin antenna. The interior has not been touched extensively and Infiniti instead opted to bring subtle enhancements and design changes – a new gear shifter, more soft-touch materials, a better tri-zone automatic climate control system and an increased number of USB charging ports. The carmaker also worked to enhance interior noise levels and added more acoustic glass. The meat is packed by the two powertrain options – the base model features a 3.5-liter V6 with 265 ponies and 248 lb-ft (336 Nm) of torque. The eco-conscious can opt for the hybrid which uses a supercharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder and an electric motor combo for a total delivery of 250 hp (186 kW) and 243 lb-ft (329 Nm) of torque. Both models will be delivered in a front wheel drive setup but as an optional extra the all-wheel drive is also available. Last, but not least, Infiniti is also promising a better ride that comes with less roll and more smoothness thanks to the new springs and shock absorbers, as well as the reworked power steering system. Additionally, the safety system array includes lots of goodies: Backup Collision Intervention, Forward Emergency Braking and Forward Collision Warning, etc.
