Jeremy Clarkson has made his official debut on Amazon starring in a new ad for the Fire TV media stick and he didn’t waste time poking some fun at the BBC while promoting his new employer’s features. We all remember how the BBC decided to let Jeremy Clarkson go following a massive “fracas scandal” involving Top Gear producer Oisin Tymon which led to the resignations of his long time fellow hosts. No time wasted afterwards because Amazon tapped all three in a rumored multi-million dollar contract and the first fruit of the collaboration is now out in the open. Jezza tells us in the add how he became “unbusy” but didn’t get bored thanks to the Amazon Fire TV media stick that allowed him to watch all of his favorite shows. He also didn’t miss the opportunity to take a jab at BBC’s iPlayer while also promoting his new show on Amazon Prime that would come next fall. Media recounts said the name of the show would be “Gear Knobs” but Clarkson recently said the name was not yet chosen – the latest info also points out the $250 million agreement will cover 36 episodes across three seasons. Naturally May and Hammond will also be there on stage and Andy Wilman will be the director, emulating the Top Gear winning formula. We already know filming is on its way with the trio hitting the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve (commonly referred to as Portimao Circuit) in Portugal to find the best hypercar among the holy trifecta made out of the LaFerrari, Porsche 918 Spyder and the McLaren P1.
