Novitec Rosso’s Ferrari 488 GTB is the usual depiction of how a great Italian thoroughbred became even greater with a “few simple” tweaks – such as a carbon fiber body kit and more oomph.

The German tuner’s desire to harness the credentials of the twin-turbo Prancing Horse have been teased way back in November 2015 and now we can see the “tree bear its fruits.” The main inquiry is always about the engine power bump so we can tell you from the starters it has an extra 86 PS, for a grand total of 756 PS – even more than the F12berlinetta. With an award winning Ferrari 3.9-liter twin-turbo V8 at hand, we can see Novitec Rosso focused on reliable performance instead of bonkers power increases. Still, that output bump suffices to have the official maximum speed go from 205 mph (330 km/h) to 212 mph (342 km/h). the extra ponies were achieved via the use of an ECU remap, mated to a bespoke exhaust which can be had in stainless steel or inconel – which is a material used by Formula One cars (among others).

The Novitec Rosso’s 488 GTB also packs a safer custom suspension setup, with buyers also allowed to select their desired wheel-tire combination. The aerodynamic credentials have been enhanced using a full-body carbon fiber kit that includes a front lip spoiler, side skirts and rear apron elements, as well as air intake fins and fixed rear wing. No images with the interior have been released yet, but instead the tuner delivered tow videos that feature the new credentials of the enhanced Italian machine.
