A first rendering with the new Volkswagen Golf GTI Clubsport is showing us how the model may look like in a Variant body style. Volkswagen has officially pulled the wraps off the new Golf GTI Clubsport a few weeks back and the model has made its public debut recently, at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, just a few days ago. However, this news isn’t related to the three-door hatchback but to an even more practical version of the compact car, the estate. Before rushing over to your local dealership in order to place a deposit for it, you should be very patient, because VW has no plans of offering such a model, at this time, and the image posted above is nothing more than a simple rendering which has been signed by X-Tomi Design. The new Volkswagen Golf GTI Clubsport is celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Golf GTI and it is bringing an Onyx White paint for its exterior, the sportier front and rear bumpers, a contrasting black roof, a multi-part rear spoiler, new side sills and 18-inch alloy wheels, with 19-inch optional ones available as well. There is also a glossy black look for the diffuser, the black trim stripe on its sides, dark red LED taillights, Alcantara trim in its cabin, new floor mats, GTI lettering, stainless steel door sill plates and so on. The 2.0 liter turbo gasoline burner with 290 HP (213 kW), 35 HP (26 kW) more over the Golf GTI Performance, is found under its hood. Power is sent to the wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission or an optional DSG. From 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph), the manual needs 6.0 seconds and the automatic can do it in 5.9 seconds. Top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h (155 mph).
