There is not much to say about the Dodge Charger SRT-8 that
hasn't already been said about the Chrysler 300C SRT-8. Big, rear-drive
American sedan meets big Hemi V8; throw in big 360 mm front / 350 mm rear
brakes, big 20 inch wheels and a dose of suspension tuning and you have
kick-ass performance in one brutish, affordable package. For the nitty-gritty
on all of these updates and more, please visit the 300C page. Exterior
dimensions, curb weight, interior space and cargo volume are all closely
related to those of the 300C and Magnum, and final assembly of all three occurs
in the same location (Brampton, Ontario).
What the Charger has that is all its own is the design - which is arguably the
most attractive and handsome of all of Chrysler's LX range - and the price,
which falls well under that of its SRT-ed siblings. Savour the burnouts! - by Traian Popescu
