HSV GTS 220i VT

Having one of the most simple and well thought out designs, drawn by one of TWR's in-house designers - Ian Callum, the GTS 220i turns out to be one of the most stylish sedans around. It's plenty fast too and although its 6.9 second run to 62 mph is the slowest on the page, a low 14 second 1/4 mile betters many cars with faster 0-62 times and its 159 mph top speed translates into a swift 250+ km/h. Its 16-valve pushrod engine is also quite simple, perhaps even primitive, however its impressive 315 horsepower and 475 Nm of torque tell other stories. An optional T56 6-speed manual transmission is also available which would add about $1000 to your base price but drop 0-62 times to around 6.2 seconds, with considerable improvements in 1/4 mile times and possibly top speed as well. Now we're talking performance.The GTS's body is stiffer than that of its counterparts, while the brakes, including drilled discs, have been updated as well. This HSV rides on 18" wheels surrounded by Bridgestone S-02 235/40ZR18 rubber. Don't plan on buying one outside Australia and New Zealand because HSVs are only available RHD.
