Mitsubishi Lancer Evo FQ330 VIII

Mitsubishi Lancer Evo FQ330 VIII Photo 377 From tea and crumpets to fish and chips, from Harrods to Big Ben, from Manchester to Liverpool, from TVRs to the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII FQ330, it's impossible to argue: it's good to be British! The FQ330, unleashed in 2003 on unsuspecting Britons, is perfect for tearing up sinuous Welsh B-roads or putting on your best Gilles Panizzi (Mitsubishi's new 2004 factory driver; the team fizzed out of the 2003 championship) impersonation. 330hp, four-wheel-drive, a sweetly tuned chassis and a stagnating, but still impressive, pedigree will do that for you.The FQ330 (Q stands for 'quick,' I'll let you figure out what F stands for on your own), starts out the FQ300's modified exhaust and remapped ECU and tacks on a supplementary ECU hardwired to the standard engine management system, and a revised turbo waste-gate, which increases its boost to 1.4 bar at peak pressure. All the modifications are carried out by Ralliart, Mitsubishi's British supplier. If you got stuck with an older FQ300, or, gasp (!), with a 'base' Evo, no need to worry, Mitsubishi UK will retrofit your car with the necessary FQ330 goodies, and even hook you up with a warranty if you buy the car new. See you at the track! - by Traian Popescu
