It seems to me that it took a while for the the original Viper to gather the sales that brought out the tuners and (with company baking) achieved success on the race track. Chrysler needs to hit the tracks hard to prove it's performance and reliability traits. Then maybe I can afford the original Viper. ------------------

I don't really know what to think about the 2003 rt/10. In the past i've never really liked the look of the rt/10. I can't wait to see the new gts!------------------ Derek Hay, ICQ#=47985762 Derek's Exotic Cars IP: Logged |

I didn't like the original RT/10 much when it was launched too. It was until the lauch of the GTS that I fell in love with the car. Can't wait to see the new GTS. I'm expecting it to look ike the GTSR Concept. IP: Logged |

I hope too that it looks like the GTS-R. I dont mind the look of the RT/10, but the last GTS killed the RT/10, so the GTS should be pretty damn good!------------------ www.hsv.com.au IP: Logged |

wouldnt the gts just look like the rt-10 with a roof? thats the only difference there has ever been between the older models.but anyway, i saw the new viper at the car show yesterday, and im gonna have to say, that they were very conservative with it. the only thing thats really changed is the side scoop, the front is a little rounder, and the back end is a little bigger. other then that, its gonna take a few looks to distinguish between the two generations. ------------------ My Prelude may not be the Koening Modena or Callaway C-12 I want it to be, but I'll live with it until I get too much money. Your saying the Ferrari 360 Modena is not a sports car. You must not follow cars too much or be on crack because in two car test that included the F360 and the Viper the F360 lapped 3 second quicker and F360 does not have a V10 or V12------------------ -Adam IP: Logged |

The difference in the last Viper was much more than just a roof mate. If you look at the bootlid, on the GTS it kicked up, while the RT/10 had a flat boot. The front ends were different, and the GTS just had cleaner lines. It was much better looking. And in regards to the F360 vs Viper, in the GT Production Nations Cup races here in Australia, the F360s were consistently near the front, with GT3s and a Lambo Diablo. The Vipers more often than not were found wallowing around last position, if finishing at all. ------------------ www.hsv.com.au IP: Logged |

Club500 you rule. I know what you are talking about that only true viper fans noticee that and the car does resemble the gts/r but it has a large difference. I have seen the new rt-10 and it is a monster the tail lights are better then the gts-r cause on that i thought they were to big but on the rt/10 they are aswome and it was preety neat how dodge set up there cars. they had both vipers right next to each other so you can compare. The new viper will be a road going machine which will be aswome to see the preformance stats and cant wait to see what hennessey can get out of the larger and more powerful engine.------------------ IP: Logged |

Sorry Bud.But no matter how much you Yanks try, you will NEVER be able to beat the might of the Europeans. i.e: Ferrari. Your cars are ugly for one, They guzzle gas like mad, Your engines don't last as long either and when was the last time an American car competed with the likes of Formula 1? Seems like the Japs and Europeans have it. Shame. Nice try though. ------------------

OK, are you saying your V12 Ferraris dont guzzle gas? In supercars no one really cares about how good its gas mileage has. I do tho like Euros better than any others.------------------ Porsche lover down to the golf clubs. IP: Logged |

I think that if you can afford a supercar, then the petrol consumption wouldnt worry you all that much.------------------ www.hsv.com.au IP: Logged |
