I believe it can do that without a V8 or 350+hp.

I would rather >350hp myself. There are plenty of cars that hit 100km/h in less than six seconds with 190-odd kW. Think Series VI RX-7. ------------------ www.hsv.com.au IP: Logged |

Got some news: Z will have at least 280-300hp and will have an acceleration of about 5.5 seconds. Plus it will cost way below the $30k mark.------------------ Proud Webmaster http://www.AutomotiveForums.com IP: Logged |

road and track released official info on the new Z. for instance the 0-60 time is 5.5secs and the 1/4 mile is done in 14 seconds flat. im not sure if this is the manual version or the manumatic trans any ways i like the new car. peace------------------

if the z has a V8, then the car will need a lot of chassis beef up to handle the power. It is not very possible to keep the weight at about 3000 pounds, not with the price of under $30000 anyway. a 280-300hp is pretty good already, consider it will have over 250 pound/feet of torque. I would rather have a Z that is a prue sports car and handle like one, then another 0-60 at 4 sec rocket.------------------

I totally agree, I believe the handling come first in a sports car, not the engine, tho a reasonable output is needed. ... woulnt want a pefect handling car that does the 1/4 in 30 seconds.

It finally came like 2 days ago, i finished the whole magazine in that time too.Just bought Automobile and CarandDriver off the stand and have decided to get subscriptions for those. You can get 3 in a year that you like for the price of the subs.

Ummm... Actually... from a person who loves the 1990-1996 300ZX, I think this car will be a good beggining to bringing back the Z. I would not buy the first year of anything... but you can bet I will purchase a second or third year Z. I think Nissan needs to get on the sports car track again. I hope these cars are as good as their lasts.IP: Logged |

They are smart to bring them back, but they should have designed them a little better.------------------ My Car Dealership: http://www.geocities.com/blackta00 '93 Camaro Z28 A4: Custom CAI, TB Bypass FS: $8,000 '92 VW Corrado VR6: EIP Intake Manifold, Neuspeed P-chip, Neuspeed Intake, Eibach Springs, 17" Konig Monsoons, Custom Exhaust, Stage III Clutch FS: $10,000 "Bowtie 'til the day I die" IP: Logged |

I really don't like the outline of the car. I think they could have done a lot better.------------------ My Car Dealership: http://www.geocities.com/blackta00 '93 Camaro Z28 A4: Custom CAI, TB Bypass FS: $8,000 '92 VW Corrado VR6: EIP Intake Manifold, Neuspeed P-chip, Neuspeed Intake, Eibach Springs, 17" Konig Monsoons, Custom Exhaust, Stage III Clutch FS: $10,000 "Bowtie 'til the day I die" IP: Logged |
