What do you think of BMW's New X Coupe Concept? Is this the way to go for BMW? http://www.fantasycars.com/1/News/BMWXCoupe/bmwxcoupe.html IP: Logged |

The X Coupe is somewhat ugly on the outside but i found the powerful diesel engine an intersting alternative for gas mills.

Beautiful car. May not have a lot of power but not short of torque.IP: Logged |

Maybe if they used the 3.0 Litre petrol engine as seen in the 330i and such, it would be a better sporting proposition. It's 228hp sounds alot better than the diesel's output. The petrol donk isnt short on torque either------------------ www.hsv.com.au IP: Logged |

I reckon that this car is pretty good looking, but in a newspaper article i read this morning, it was described as the ugliest car to come out of the Detroit show.Sometimes journos have no idea... IP: Logged |

I like it too, but it was also described as incredibly ugly in the first magazine I read about it.------------------

Hey, I just heard rumour that it's going to be the replacement for the Z3, but I am not sure if that is true.IP: Logged |

That would be the worst BMW idea ever, hope this never happens . ------------------ There´s no substitute for efficiently engineered cubic inches(or centimeters) IP: Logged |

That would be a stupid idea. The Z3 is a sports car and this is supposed to be a hybrid SUV or as BMW thinks of it, this should be a SAV coupe (that is a hybrid coupe), not a sports car.------------------ Porsche lover down to the golf clubs. IP: Logged |

That would be a silly idea. This car is like the Suzuki X90, in that its a cross over between a sports car and a four wheel drive. This is worlds away from the Z3, so i cant see why they would do that.------------------ www.hsv.com.au IP: Logged |

Apparently, the X Coupe won't be a production car, but instead is the inspiration for the next generation Z3.However, from what I gather, the reception at the Detroit show was so terrible that BMW executives had a panic attack, forcing them to rethink their plans for the Z3 replacement (or at least its styling). But let's give them credit for trying to break new ground. Whether they failed or succeeded, at least they're still brave enough to greenlight new ideas. Asymmetry could take some getting used to, though ... ------------------

BMW seems to be in a bit of a concept car slump nowadays. First the Z9, now this. The Z9 convertible was ok but this is awful. Seeing that gorgeous M3 convertible though, just oozes the pain away.------------------ Visit http://www.fantasycars.com/sedans for the wildest time you've had in the last 5 minutes. IP: Logged |

I thought that the Z9 ws a pretty ugly car. This is much better looking, and much more practical. Look at all that torque! i like this one a lot.------------------ www.hsv.com.au IP: Logged |
