oh yeah, ferrari needs to get with the times? I dont think so! Take a look at bmw, all their cars except the z3 look way to similar and look at porsche, everyone of their cars look exactly alike except for the boxter. Think before you speak.------------------ [This message has been edited by 007 (edited July 11, 2001).] IP: Logged |

All of Porsche's cars except the Boxster are based on the same chassis: the 996 911, if I am not mistaken. That includes the Carreras 2 and 4, the 911 Turbo, and the GT2, and all the convertibles. The current chassis has just built on previous ones like the 993, but then again, I am no Porschephile like Porscheman. If you want diversity, however, just wait for the Cayenne SUV and look at the thread on the possible 2+2 and sedan. As for BMW, the 3-, 5-, and 7- series cars do not look too much alike, except perhaps that they are all, or can be, sedans. But only if a sedan is a sedan is a sedan. As for the pics of the new F60, the rear looks too large and boxy. However, it is definitely an exotic.------------------ IP: Logged |

That must be the silliest thing that you have ever said man. Like Anthony said, all current Porsche models other than the Boxster are 996 911s. ------------------ ICQ# 111706780 IP: Logged |

BTW, take a look at a Boxster, and a 911 Cabrio. They look so much alike that it hurts too see a 911 disgraced so much. ------------------ A&F Auto Sales '93 Camaro Z28 A4: Custom CAI, TB Bypass FS: $8,000 '90 Integra LS: 5-Speed, Exhaust, Springs, Konig Villain's FS: $4,000 "Bowtie 'til the day I die" IP: Logged |

none of porsches cars look that good anyways except for the boxter. As for the f60, the pics that we have seen are not the real ones, just what some guy thinks it will look like. We have no idea what the f60 looks like yet, for all we know, it could look like a omish bugy with an engine or an ice cream truck with a v12.------------------

That's funny you say the boxster is the only good looking one, that thing sucks. I would figure you would say that the 911T looks good, but the boxster is ugly.------------------ A&F Auto Sales '93 Camaro Z28 A4: Custom CAI, TB Bypass FS: $8,000 '90 Integra LS: 5-Speed, Exhaust, Springs, Konig Villain's FS: $4,000 "Bowtie 'til the day I die" IP: Logged |

The F60 surely looks very futuristic, I like it! Considering its a prototype mule, it looks damn good.Anyway, I agree that most Porsches look pretty much the same, with the exception of the Carrera GT, that kicks ass. ------------------ And thee scarlet car take thy chequered flag. IP: Logged |

Although it looks very similar to it's predecessor the legendary F50, I think it's performance will be even more outstanding. As much as I enjoy these cars, there is just no room for versatility inside them. Unless you can blast through a state like Nevada, or you're a car collector, this is not the right choice. They hold their value, they are F1 racers turned to the streets, but I know from personal experience, driving them in the city is not fun.------------------

relax everyone, The pics of the f60 are highly disguised. TRUST ME! The final version does not look anything like that. They do this to highten expectation. The final car is much more refined. The designer Ken Okyama knows what he is doing. And can you say 250mph.....

This is a tough topic to reply to because we really don't know what the car is going to look like. I think the spy pics are highly misleading. I agree that the car that we see looks like @#!*, but I am confident that this ferrari will live up to it's predecessors (F40, and F50). Can't wait to see the production version, and all of the performance stats. ------------------ Does it get any better than this? 0-60 in 3.6 top speed 205mph, and built in 1989. I think there is someone else who needs to think before they type. All BMW's cars look the same except the Z3 do they? And what perscription might you be using in your glasses? So the Z8 looks like the X5 does it? I think not. I'm not usually like this btw, but I couldn't let that one passed. In fact i'm actually a very nice person These pictures of the F60 are misleading. We all know that. But they cannot disguse the stance and poise of the car, which it what i look for, and for me, those aspects look great. I really hope that a lot has changed from the F50. Not my favourite Ferrari...------------------ IP: Logged |
