Porsche should never be mistaken. It has never been as exotic as a Ferrari. It has never been as expensive as a Ferrari. While they are exotic and expensive, they are in their own right. I can never see myself owning a Ferrari. Luckily, I do see myself, in the long future, owning a Porshe. Its the same trend that has been happening with Jaguar, Mercedes and many automakers. Luckily, Porsche will be still making deceptively quick automobiles - whether SUV, Saloon or Sports car. What they do have to be careful of, is making cheaper budget variations of these vehicles. Now that would harm Porsche's heritage. Probably I'm begining to bore you with this, but I maintain that the idea of a rear-engined saloon, with similar dynamics as the ever-youthful 911, would be increadible. If Porsche would want to remain independent, this is what they would have to do - Expand. ------------------ Women are important, very important... but my Guru once told me that cherish what you will have for life... I've been hearing the rumor of a four door porsche for quite a while now, I'm not sure if it's true, but if it is, I'm ready to go out and try it, possibly buy one.------------------

could a 4 door be terrible, i mean look at the bugatti concepts. i am against it but as far as it being a wreck and a bad thing. i think madkerchot may have a point.------------------ Porsche lover down to the golf clubs. I guess if they have to make the suv to stay independent then it is ok. I just hope this doesn't start a trend and is just a temporary fix. I would hate for this to ruin the porsche heritage. But what the hell, a twin turbo 400+ bhp suv. I have to say it would be quite interesting to drive. Hopefully they make it with a manual.------------------ Does it get any better than this? 0-60 in 3.6 top speed 205mph, and built in 1989. IP: Logged |
