Oh, well in that case that's ok!? The tail pop up wings are wicked. Saw a thing on tv the other day where the wings just rose as he/she accelerated.------------------ IP: Logged |

I think it sucks big time. People have told me the Lamborghini is ugly and I disagree until now. Its it the ugliest model yet. I can't wait till the Diablo 6.0 Roadster to come out in 2003 and knock this out of production!!!! IP: Logged |

I cant see why anyone can frown upon the new Lamborghini. You may criticize it now, but if you were ever to ride in one you would wet your pants in excitement. So what if it has traction control and "wings" it is still the best Lamborghini to ever come out.IP: Logged |

No matter what your opinions about this new lambo, you can't say it isn't a great car. Even if you hate the styling, it's got that engine, and incredible performance, you can't say it sucks, because it doesn't. If you don't like the styling then fine, thats your opinion. But if you've always liked Lamborghini's, then how can you hate this one so much - how can you hate it in any other way except the styling?------------------ Another One Bites The Dust IP: Logged |

Hate to tell you, but it's not going to happen. The Diablo is gone, and the Murcielago is its replacement. ------------------ It's a 790 bhp, turbocharged, 220-mph McLaren Eater! IP: Logged |

I've always loved Lambo. The Countach, Diablo, and Murcielago; I like 'em all. How the hell can you hate a Lambo and say it sucks!!! A car doesn't suck just because you don't like the styling. I can't imagine how good the Countach looked back in the 80s. There's really no way to tell. The only thing I can think of is a really nice looking new exotic style. Any one who was alive when the Countach was first introduced, what was it like? I mean styling wise. ------------------ IP: Logged |

From reading my collection of 1970s car mags, it seems like the Countach and Lotus Esprit really rocked the automotive world. They kicked off the whole "flying doorstop" style. My cousin (he's 10 years older than me) tells me that the white Esprit in THE SPY WHO LOVED ME was one of the great car moments of that decade. ------------------

I got a great Motor Trend issue in the school library the other day from 1990. They had a supercar comparison with the Ferrari F40, Porsche 959, and the other two cars kingfisher mentioned, the Countach and Esprit. Great article, and it was actually half-written by the man who would eventually play a big part in the development of the McLaren F1 - at the time, however, it seems MT was skeptical of his ability to create a car capable of surpassing the performance of all the cars in that test. Kind of ironic that today, the F1 is one of the most famous and powerful cars in the world! It seems the Countach was featured in tons of magazine comparisons back in its prime, as was the Ferrari Testarossa (the two were often compared together). Those must have been great times - I suppose we'll see more comparisons like those in the future, when the Bugatti Veyron, Lamborghini Murcielago, and the rest of the promised future supercars come out. ------------------ ____ ____ IP: Logged |
