Oh we LIKE that! Looks set to challenge SEAT's new . There arent many performance figures on that page i don't think, if any actually. In Autocar Issue 675, they review it - "Concept cars come and go, but this one shouldn't be allowed to sink without trace. The Tango has huge potential and could work wonders for SEAT's image. It could be easily adapted to suit the Ibiza's running gear, so the future looks rosy. And given that Ford and Smart both similar models in the pipeline, the timing couldn't be better.
At a glance
- Two-seater could go on sale in early 2004 priced from £10,000 [TEN GRAND!!!!!] (that's $14,359!!)
- Concept uses Ibiza platform and 180 bhp 1.8 litre turbo unit.
- Top speed of 145, sprints from 0-60 in 7.0 seconds.

Cool. Front end is fresh and looks good, doesnt look like a Ford. The rear end, well, remind me the Citroen SM, not bad but not amazing either.I like the powerplants, 220hp seems like good power for that little sport car. I made my final decision when it see it in the flesh. ------------------ Strike fear in fellow Porsche drivers American power baby, click to check it There is no replacement for cubic inches IP: Logged |

Hmmm.... They did the front end good. But I don't really like the back end. It looks a little bit too futuristic.------------------ When everything's coming your way, your in the wrong lane. IP: Logged |

i can't say that i'm in favor of the whole design, hints the back end, but othwerise sounds nice, is Ford expecting this to compete with other cars already on the market or proved something for there company?------------------ JON IP: Logged |

Not bad, but you can be sure they'll tone down the production version.------------------ It's a 790 bhp, turbocharged, 220-mph McLaren Eater! IP: Logged |

The front is nice agressive looking, but the rear, hmm. In Puma the rear made the car look as it was about to jump. No not the rear, the whole desing made it look like that, dynamic I guess you could say. Well, it's still a good looking car. I bet it handles beautifully.------------------

Looks very nice - I'd buy one. I just don't like the shape of the window near the rear. It looks very awkward as it goes up like that.------------------ A BMW a day keeps motorists out of your way: http://www.fantasycars.com/sedans IP: Logged |

Well, I suppose there is a little hint of Z in the headlamps, but not really...I'd say the taillamps echo the Focus.------------------ It's a 790 bhp, turbocharged, 220-mph McLaren Eater! IP: Logged |

It loooks ok. The front end in that lighting looks like a less sharpe edged Nissan 350Z. I think they need to use smoother edges and more chrome when they design cars.

Ford says this is just a concept and it's not on the books for production. However, I have a feeling this is what the next Cougar will look like. So, as a replacement for that car, the Start is pretty good. But I don't care much for the rear either - seems a tad bulky. ------------------

Kingfisher, the moment you said cougar my eyes suddenly opened, of coarse, i can totally see it now. The way the tail lights flow up the back end.... the closest thing it remeinds me of is the old volvo wagons. I can't say im in favor... saddly reminds me of some of todays pop-culture "show me what your workin' with, SHAKE IT FAST", hehe, it's boasting a "perky" tail end.------------------ JON IP: Logged |
