The CCX is an amazing high performance sports car unveiled in 2006 at the Geneva Motor Show by Swedish car manufacturer Koenigsegg.

This 2 door coupe with a targa top was built based on the CCR platform but modified with the goal to comply with global regulations. This would allow Koenigsegg to penetrate the sought after U.S market who have strict emission standards. The CCX is the abbreviation for Competition Coupe X (X used as the Roman numeral for ten) celebrating the 10th anniversary since the completion of the first test drive of a CC car. The engine is a newly designed lightweight 4.7 litre twin-supercharged V8 that produces an incredible 795 hp and 679 lb-ft of torque on premium gasoline. The all-aluminum engine was designed and built in house with the option of a 6 speed manual or automatic transmission that transfers power through a special torque sensitive limited slip differential for maximum traction. The chassis is comprised of a combination of Kevlar, carbon fibre, and aluminum honeycomb for structural strength and weight reduction.

Many would agree with Forbes magazine, the Koenigsegg CCX is one of the 10 most beautiful cars in the world.
